What's new: account closure
What’s new
The account closure process is evolving to ensure full regulatory compliance and to provide an optimized user experience for your end customers.
A new tracking object ClosureRequest has been introduced to provide you with more information on the status and processing of account closures.
For most closure requests, the closure can now take place almost immediately, whereas it previously required a 30-day period.
For one closure reason, the end customer now has a notice period of 60 days to prepare for the closure, during which the account remains active and fully usable.
Why is this a breaking change?
1- The removal of the ClosureRequested status, replaced by the existing PendingClosure status, creates a breaking change if this status is an observed event to perform actions.
2- The new timeline could create a breaking change on your communication to your endusers.
Impact
You must integrate the webhook ClosureRequestCreatedOrUpdated and the new endpoint GET /v3.0/accounts/accountId/closure-request to display usefull informations to your enduser, notoriously in case of closure with notice period.
